In my mind French girls are the epitome of chic. I love French style, beauty trends and fashion. So how can you feel French girl glam in your every day life? These simple steps will help you feel effortlessly elegant and like you just stepped off the cover of French Vogue.
1. Get that Undone Hair Look
French girls always have that effortless messy hair look that I truly envy. I've done some research into how they get their tousled locks and I haven't changed my haircare routine since! First, French girls avoid over-washing and drying out their hair by only washing it 2-3 days a week (they use dry shampoo in between washes). When they do shampoo, they massage it into their scalp with a clarifying formula. They follow up with the tiniest bit of conditioner that is only applied to the ends of their hair (never the roots!). They avoid blow drying, and go to sleep with damp hair to wake up with that wavy tousled look.

2. Use a Dry Oil
If you struggle with dry skin or hair then a French oil is for you! The Nuxe Huile Prodigiuese is my favorite because it is so dry and it absorbs into the skin very quickly. It is a multi-purpose product which can be used on the face, body or hair. I love adding this to end ends of my hair to add extra shine and revive dead ends. This is also fantastic as a shower oil to keep legs moisturized after you shave them.

3. Start Your Skincare Routine Young
French parents teach their children a skincare routine when they are very young which ensures that they have lasting results. Their skin is dewy and flawless because they think about preventative self-care! I have so many favorite skincare products, but I have shared my absolute French favorites below.

4. Keep Makeup Simple
The French enjoy simple beauty that is soft and natural. Most women don't use a ton of foundation, and opt for a natural monochrome look (think using the same product for eyeshadow, lipstick and blush). Some women might keep their makeup natural with the exception of one feature; nothing says French beauty like a micro winged eyeliner or a bright red lip.

5. Menswear is Sexy
French women are not afraid to dress in a more masculine fashion. It's actually considered very sexy in France. Think an oversized blazer, straight legged high wasited jeans, cashmere vests and chelsea style boots.

6. Think About Collecting Staples and Classic Pieces
French women tend to have a capsule wardrobe, and keep things simple and clean. Think classic and timeless items in solid or striped colors. They tend to stay away from trendy patterned pieces. By investing in classic, high-quality pieces that will last a lifetime, you will keep your wardrobe minimal and forever French chic!
French Staples: Loafers, Leather Jacket, Oversized Blazer, Ballet Flats, Short Booties, Loose Straight Leg Jeans, Plain T-Shirts, White Button Down Shirts, Little Black Dress, Black Leather Bag, White Trainer Sneakers , Silk Camisoles, Trench Coat, Oversized Sunglasses
