If I Could Only Keep 10 Drugstore Beauty Items...

If you know me, you know I'm a bit of a drugstore beauty junkie. I can't help it but I just LOVE all of the new releases I see constantly popping up. Drugstore makeup has come a long way, and I love finding dupes for high end makeup. Anyone else get that rush when you save a penny and look good doing it? I know I'm not alone! It was super tough,,,,but if I had to keep just 10 drugstore beauty items from my collection, these are the gems I could never live without!
1. L'Oreal Lash Paradise
Truly the best mascara on a budget. I don't feel like my makeup look is finished until I put this on. It creates the long, slightly clumpy, false lash look without the hassle of fake lashes. At a minimum I have to put on mascara to start my day because I feel naked without it! This mascara competes with any high end mascara....IMO.
2. Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator
This is a newer product for me but I've completely fallen in love with this tinted hydrator. For $4.99 this foundation is a cross between a tinted moisturizer and a BB cream. It has a very gel like texture and a natural, skin-like finish. It evens out all of the redness on my face and looks like a dewier, more-hydrated version of my actual skin. I hope that WnW never gets rid of this awesome product!
3. Colourpop No Filter Matte Concealer
Colourpop is one of my favorite brands, however, it is only sold online and in limited quantities at Ulta. That being said, this concealer is AMAZING. First, it comes in 30 different shades meaning that any skin tone can find a match. Colourpop does a great job of keeping their beauty line inclusive for all consumers, which I absolutely love about the brand. Second, this has unreal coverage and makes my undereyes dark-circle free. It says it is a matte formula, but I think it has more of a natural finish and never leaves my undereyes feeling dry and cakey.
4. Milani Clear Brow Gel
I have some thick eyebrows (wooooo my Israeli genes!) and they need a lot of maintenance. Enter....the Milani Clear Brow Gel. This super inexpensive gel tames my hairy caterpillar brows and makes sure they stay in place ALL.DAY.LONG. At the drugstore, this is hard to find! I do like a slightly harder/crunchier brow, but this formula sets the brows without the look of hairspray brows. Pro Tip: Brush your brow hairs with this gel first and then let the formula dry down (approximately 30 seconds). Then go in with your eyebrow pencil or pomade for perfectly sculpted brows. The fibers of your pomade or eyebrow pencil will only attach to the sparse parts of your brow!
5. Physician's Formula Eye Booster Liquid Eyeliner
I'm very into a two for one product. Not only does this liner help you to create an easy, opaque line, it is also infused with a serum that stimulates eye lash growth and length! The brush tip makes a winged eyeliner super easy, as it is flexible yet controllable. I love using the brown shade, but it also comes in black if you are into a darker, more intense look.
6. Essence The Blush
Essence makes some incredible drugstore blushes, but "The Blush" is my favorite (and it's only $2.99!). This product doesn't need a fancy name for marketing purposes because it's just THAT good. It is super pigmented, so a little goes a long way, and very long lasting. I use the color Believing which is a gorgeous dusty mauve for every day. It comes in four beautiful shades that are all perfect for day to night. I also love to use this as eyeshadow (yes, your powder products are multi-functional!) for a chic, every day monochrome look. 5 stars for this gorgeous product!
7. Flower Beauty Heatwave Bronzer
This bronzer is a fantastic dupe for the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Bronzer, but is a quarter of the price. I love a bronzer that isn't too warm on the skin (I have a pretty fair complexion) but it can be very hard to find this tone at the drugstore. The Flower Beauty Heatwave Bronzer in the shade Sunrise is perfection. It has a cool, slightly red tone to it that is great for sculpting out the cheekbones and adding some life back into the complexion. This bronzer is highly pigmented so using a light hand with the product is advised.
8. Essence Pure Nude Highlighter
This is pretty much my favorite highlighter. Period. It is SO natural and gives a beautiful lit from within look to your skin without being blinding. The powder is baked but it's not a typical dry texture. It glides smoothly on the skin and isn't streaky or glittery in the slightest. I love put this on the high points of my cheekbones, the top of my nose and my cupids bow to catch the light and bring some luminosity back to my skin. This product is just $3.99 and is my ride or die. Pick up this gorgeous highlighter and you will not be disappointed.
9. Nyx Butter Gloss
I absolutely love lip products (some might say my collection is a bit....obscene). I love different finishes and depending on my mood or vibe that day I might need a shocking, bright pink satin or a vampy, burgandy matte shade. However, if I could only live with one lip product for the rest of my life it would have to be the Nyx Butter Gloss in the shade Tiramisu. It is the perfect, non-sticky, pinky-nude gloss. I wear it at least once a week (and that is saying a LOT given how many lip glosses I own), and it is perfect for every day or night. I feel like it is a pretty universal shade that would be flattering on many skintones. However, if pinky-nudes aren't your jam then check out the other Butter Gloss colors....they have over 20 shades!
10. Catrice Prime & Shine Setting Spray
In order for my makeup to stay on all day, I must use this Prime and Fine Setting Spray. I actually spray this on my clean face prior to putting on foundation, and finish with this once all of my makeup is on my face. This product makes my makeup last ALL DAY LONG, and has the most beautiful glow without being too shiny or glittery. Not into a dewy look? Check out the Catrice Prime and Fine Anti-Shine setting spray!
