February was a chilly month, and all I wanted to do was curl up in bed, drink hot cocoa and dive into some good reads, Below is everything I read in February (in the order of when I read them), my rating (out of 5 stars) and thoughts on what I read (100% honest reviews from a bookworm).

Happy Reading!

This book BLEW. ME. AWAY. One of the best books I have read in the longest time. V.E. Schwab poured her heart into writing this story and it really shows. There were so many times I wanted to highlight sentences so that I could look back at them later (I listened to this on audiobook though :) ). The premise of the story is that a French woman in the 1700s makes a deal with the devil to flee an arranged marriage. She ends up cursed and lives an immortal life being forgotten by everyone she meets. If you loved The Time Traveler's Wife and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, this spectacular novel is for you!

2. Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates "How do I live in this Black body?" This book tries to address our country's biggest questions when it comes to race, history and current crisis. The book is written as a letter to Coates' teenage son, but it reads like an epic poem. I listened to this on audiobook, which is read by the author, and loved learning more about Coates' journey growing up Black in America. Everyone should read this book.

3. To Sir Phillip, With Love (Bridgerton #5) by Julia Quinn

Sadly, book 5 in the Bridgerton series was a bit of a let down for me. Eloise is my favorite character in the series, and I felt like her love story should have been much more exciting. It's not that Sir Phillip is a bad choice for Eloise, but he is a boring one. Eloise is supposed to be the spunky, sassy and fun Bridgerton, so I was hoping she would be matched with someone that could measure up to her quick wit.

Ohh this one was good. In the tv show you hardly ever see Francesca (the sixth Bridgerton child) so I knew nothing about her except that she lived in Scotland. Dubbed the forgotten Bridgerton, Francesca is very different from her siblings and her love story is.....saucy. That’s putting it gently too 😜

5. Be Dazzled by Ryan La Sala

This book was so fun. I loved the narrator and enjoyed the transitions between the past and present. I fell in love with Luca and Raffy as a couple, and enjoyed seeing their romance develop. This book is a great fit for fans of Becky Albertalli, Rainbow Rowell and John Green.

Rating: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐⭐⭐

The third book in Hibbert’s trilogy was definitely my favorite! This book was laugh out loud funny. I love Eve and her eccentric personality. This is a fun read if you’re looking for something very light and fluffy.

Rating: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐⭐

7. The Ex Talk by Rachel Lynn Solomon

I had high hopes for this book but sadly, it was just OK. I think the premise is really fun and you get a great behind the scenes look at what it’s like to work in public radio. However, the main character is so self-loathing for no reason and that was a big turn off to me. I also just didn’t fall in love with Dominic and Shay’s love story. That’s a deal-breaker for me when it comes to romance! Rating: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
